Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated November 1, 2025

AirHelpService is not an airline or a travel agency. We do not sell flights and do not process refunds for airline tickets. This policy explains our position regarding refunds for any services AirHelpService itself may offer, and our editorial guidance on airline refunds and cancellations.

1. AirHelpService is not the merchant of your flight

When you book a flight, the merchant is the airline (or the online travel agency you booked through). Any refund for a flight, hotel, insurance product or ancillary service must be requested from that merchant, not from AirHelpService.

If you contacted AirHelpService expecting a refund for a flight, please contact your airline or online travel agency directly. We are happy to point you to the relevant guide on our site.

2. Services AirHelpService may provide

AirHelpService currently does not sell paid consumer services. If we introduce optional paid services in the future (for example, in-depth research reports or premium content), this section will describe their specific refund terms. Any such refund terms will always be clearly disclosed at the point of sale.

3. Airline refund guidance

Under U.S. DOT rules effective October 2024, U.S. airlines and foreign airlines operating flights to and from the U.S. must provide automatic cash refunds to the original form of payment when they cancel or significantly change a flight and the passenger chooses not to accept the alternative.

Under EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers on cancelled flights departing an EU airport (or arriving in the EU on an EU carrier) are entitled to a refund within seven days when they choose not to travel.

For detailed guidance, see our articles on Passenger Rights and the Flight Cancellation Guide category.

4. Chargebacks and disputes

If your airline refuses to refund a cancelled flight, you may have the right to dispute the charge with your credit card issuer under the Fair Credit Billing Act (U.S.) or equivalent laws in your country. Chargebacks against AirHelpService are not applicable to flight purchases because AirHelpService did not process the transaction.

5. Newsletter and account cancellations

You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any newsletter email. There is no fee and unsubscription is processed immediately.

6. Contact
